What causes species to become endangered. If you don’t know yet, well im going to tell you. The 3 main reasons that endangered species are getting endangered is because of habitat loss, natural causes and illegal hunting.
Firstly, one of the most common ways of how endangered animals get endangered is habitat loss. For example, the mountain gorilla is having trouble because of habitat loss and there is less than 790 mountain gorillas in the world just because of habitat loss. People are rapidly destroying so that makes it harder for gorillas to sustain their lives. Did you also know that habitat loss poses the greatest threat to species.
Secondly, over the past 200 years, humans have made significant changes to natural environments all around the globe, and most of these changes have negatively affected the wildlife. That mean numbers of species are headed towards extinction. One example for natural causes is global warming. Some species didn’t just get endangered, they got extinct.
Thirdly, leopards and bears are being hunted illegally by poachers. The hunters ignore the government and go hunting for species that they're not supposed to hunt then the species they’re hunting get endangered.
For these reasons, I hope you now understand how species are getting endangered.
Hi Justin,
ReplyDeleteIt's very sad how many animalsaround the world are endangered isn't it? I recently read there are less than 650 mountain gorillas left in the wild. Do you know any endangered animals native to NZ? There are quite a few. Raising awareness is a good place to start, how else can people help? Keep working on your speech, I look forward to hearing more.

Hi Justin,
ReplyDeleteGreat speech structure with three very detailed parts. Do you ever wonder why people poach animals and hunt illegally? It is great to see you make connections between your speech and your iExplore learning adventure. I am looking forward to seeing your Gamefroot game.
